Bought this shaver for my husband. He loves braun pulsonic shaver!!! Here's my husband's review: If you haven't figured it out yet, the new Braun Pulsonic is even better as a wet shaver. Notice that it says WASHABLE in letters you can't miss on the front of the shaver. Simply wet your face, put on some Gillette Foamy shaving cream, and get ready for an incredibly close shave!! FIRST, shave with the shaving head in the UNLOCKED position, and then followup by shaving with the shaving head in the LOCKED position. Wow, what a shave!! This doesn't take long as the Pulsonic is fast and powerful and zips right through your beard. Take your fingers AGAINST the grain of your beard to see how close this shave is!!
If you want an even closer shave, FIRST shave ONLY WITH THE GRAIN of your beard (NOT against the grain)using a typical Gillette double or triple blade. Then finish up with the Pulsonic. This seems to get the longer, flat lying hairs a little better. After all, braun pulsonic shaver's the shaving AGAINST the grain of your beard with a blade that produces the nicks and iritation.
Can't figure out why Braun doesn't advertise the Pulsonic as a WET shaver. Maybe it's because Braun had to cut a deal with Panasonic to use Panasonic's Linear motor in the Pulsonic. Maybe Panasonic still has a patent on its Linear motor. Anyway, I've used both the latest Panasonic wet/dry shaver as a wet shaver and the Braun Pulsonic as a wet shaver. The results are that the Pulsonic shaves much closer and without the irritation of the Panasonic.
