We have about 8 m high shrubs, some grow about 7 meters deep, and tons of equipment around this 1 / 2 acre yard. A year or so ago, we have one of these Remington Pole hedge trimmers. It broke the first time, and the head is not in a position lock. Actually, I think it was broken before I opened the box. Despite that I did a few times, and it was such a trouble, unplug the cable around, and if Black & Decker NPT318 is the same weight as these, it just felt heavier. I think it was the way you can balance this B & D, without having to worry about the movement of the extension cord or where Black & Decker NPT318 is, so you do not cut it off.
I was worried that it is not the task, as these cuts "to" 7 / 16, and in practice up to 1 / 3 "per other reviews. The Remington has up to 3 / 4" It has some tough topics . However, I have a ruler and marked the three sizes on a card and took it to see how the difference would be me and found that virtually all sectors I am interested generally in the cutting is less than 7 / 16
I'm a pretty big guy, but I can not cut for more than 30 or 40 minutes, so that the life of the battery no problem. Send me the B & D battery for about 4 hours and can not wait to try it. He worked with full force as long as my arms hold.
I think the great advantage of this condition, I have a fully charged battery, is that I have much to do, do some cutting, because the extra effort to get an extension cord, to unravel, perhaps Hooking two together, and they raise the hill above and between the trees is not to do so. I can and start cutting.
I know without doubt that I have so much more than the old electrical, and if the batteries do not last 2-3 years, that's OK. I just found replacements, new brand on Amazon for 30 Bucks shipped.
I wish they had a LOCK-ON feature, but the way the trigger, Black & Decker NPT318 would be easy to clamp in place. However, I have a lot of switches hands, and it was very easy to bend, and was probably safer that way.
I had a new unit Remington sit here, and hemmed and hawed trying to have a battery operated, but finally decided that the lack of a cord, the fact that I do not regularly trim a little more than 7 / 16 "and the general quality I've always been the experience with B & D products, along with all the positive reviews here, who have to buy Black & Decker NPT318. Now that I have, I have a decision must be!
