When You’re Fishing … Who controls time? .. But, having failed several times and replacement accessories folded … I decided I needed something reliable that I could readily and easily check to make sure I had enough water to go home!
Tide, Time Clocks .. Leave them at home! This thing is with you!
Once introduced to your local tides, this instrument is accurate .. (periodic inspection and adjustment may be necessary to offset the moon minor coastal weather and “blips”)

Temperature characteristic .. tends to read .. high, but acceptable & .. If you can read .. You do not Hypothermic!
Date .. luminescent hands and hour .. Indiglo backlight ….

I like this timex t45601. Certainly, it is a tad large commentary by the previous reviewer, I agree.
So perhaps I may provide some measures for others considering the purchase of put this comment into perspective:
Watch Face Diameter: 45.0mm
Watch Body Depth: Approx 11.5mm
Leather Bracelet Width: 24.0 mm approx
I found the instructions to be somewhat concise but complete (they are provided in several languages, but which is good). The calibration of the compass function is fairly easy. Instructions indicate the guarantee may be extended for several years with an additional $ 5.00 of purchase.
I think it shows an attractive and easy for me to see. I like the Indigo characteristic light.
Personally, I’m not sure I’ll use the prediction of tides as much as I do not sail and do find myself at the beach with the family once a year. But I do not buy it for that purpose. Mainly I wanted for the combination of time, date, temp and compass functions, and I wanted something analog, not digital. I also wanted something easy for me to read, and something that was somewhat different.
The only thing that requires a little practice, is that the combination of: Compass, Tide and Temp indicator hand has two sides (spanning the inside diameter of the watch face) and could be visually confused with hours, minutes and seconds hands, especially in the evening. So if you think about it, there is what seems to be 5 pointers extending from the center of the watch face.
I’m glad I bought this watch for me.

I had purchased a strapless heart monitor just a week or so before I bought this Timex T5J031. Timex T5J031 was almost useless in monitoring my heart rate, however, since it seemed to rarely give readings when asked. So I decided to upgrade to this Timex. I am so glad I did. Since my first monitor was not that helpful, I was immediately happy with this new one. I can enter specific information about my body (weight, age, resting heart rate, maximum heart rate) easily, and because Timex T5J031 has that information, Timex T5J031 can come up with accurate readings of how many calories I burn. Plus, Timex T5J031 seems to stand up well to daily use. I recommend this product to anyone who is serious about exercising and monitoring their heart rate.
