I have had a Oreck for the last eight years, but the warranty is up, and I go through A LOT of belts.. Its not made for my birds, dogs and cats I believe. This vacuum was set up in less then 15 minutes and I love the way it runs, and picks up my dog hair with ease! The brush function picks up hair that is hard to pick up and it also works in my tiled kitchen great- I am so happy I purchased this, and can’t believe I was going to pay more money for another popular pet hair vacuum twice the price!

After vacuuming our home with our Oreck, we purchased this Bissell 89Q9 later in the day, and to say we were amazed when we saw all it pulled out of our carpets would be putting it mildly. It’s hard to explain until you see it. You will be amazed to see what comes out of (what you believe to be) your already vacuumed carpets. Our carpets look like we just cleaned them. The bag-less canister is very easy to take off and empty. The snap off vacuum canister feature is also very easy to use. It’s large back wheels make maneuvering a snap. The feature to turn the brush off for hardwood or ceramic floors is also a unique feature that works geat. We have carpets with different naps, and it pulls and cleans exceptionally at any nap length. It was exceptionally easy to put together as well. I not only give this vacuum five stars, but an A+ in value.

Some commentators were not impressed by this machine, and I can only assume it's because they either had bad luck and got one that just happened to be defective or improperly used, or something this effect. This Bissell 1200A worth every penny ... And believe me more than $ 100 for a portable machine, I was not sure if this was true when I bought it. But with an aging pet that suddenly, with many accidents on my new carpet, I lost my mind, without this machine.
Before buying this machine, I tried a few passes with a cleaning spray and make the jet wet sponge and wipe the routine, recommended to them, and I must make a big mess that has been painted on casually. I tried this machine and it worked like a charm. It is easy to use, relatively easy to clean after use, and they do a fantastic job on these little spots that are not quite a big machine or guarantee full size professional. Best of all is the auto's ... fill it with a solution, it was placed on the item, press a button and he did everything himself ... a very nice feature when you wake up with spots or accidents in 3 hours.
I acknowledge that it uses a good amount of cleaning solution, so that in this context, it is not exactly cheap to use if you have many fantastic places and frequent, but you can not fight for quality of service .. .
